XDP heavy-duty gear reduction starter for the 2007–2022 Ram 5.9L / 6.7L Cummins.
A gear reduction starter uses a smaller, faster motor through a reduction gearset. It produces more torque than the factory unit at about a third of the size, and draws less current doing it — which is what you want on a cold morning with a tired battery.
It's a bolt-on replacement in a wrinkle black finish, and the reduced size frees up room around the block.
