Synapse Auto remanufactured HE351VE turbo actuator supplied with the calibration tool, for the 2007.5–2012 Ram 6.7L Cummins.
The HE351VE's actuator is what tells the variable-geometry turbo when to open and close. It is also the part that fails — usually electronically — and when it does the turbo stops varying anything and behaves like a fixed-geometry unit, taking the exhaust brake with it.
Replacing the actuator itself is straightforward. The catch has always been calibration: a new actuator has to be calibrated to the turbo, which normally means a trip to a shop with the right equipment.
This kit pairs Synapse's remanufactured actuator with their calibration tool, so the whole job — replace and calibrate — can be finished on your own driveway.
