AEV hot-stamped boron steel rear differential skid plate kit for the 2020–2024 Silverado 1500 / Sierra 1500 3.0L Duramax.
A rear differential housing is a large, round, low target, and debris hitting the wrong spot on it turns a weekend into a recovery.
AEV use hot-stamped boron steel: very high yield strength for its weight, and hard enough to resist gouging rather than just denting. That combination is why these plates are not the slabs of mild steel that cost you ground clearance.
They are developed, tested and validated to the same standard as an OEM part, which on a skid plate matters in ways that are easy to overlook — a plate that blocks airflow or traps debris creates a problem rather than solving one.
