BD Diesel Screamer upgraded HE351VE variable-geometry turbocharger for the 2007.5–2012 6.7L Cummins.
Most turbo upgrades for the 6.7L Cummins ask you to abandon the factory VGT for a fixed-geometry unit — which also means a different exhaust manifold, a list of other parts, and the loss of the factory exhaust brake.
The Screamer takes the other route. It is an upgraded HE351VE, so the variable geometry stays, the exhaust brake stays, and nothing around it has to change.
For an owner who uses the exhaust brake — towing down a grade, or simply not wearing out service brakes — that is not a small consideration.
