Exhaust Brake (remote) with AIR Compressor FORD 6.7L Power Stroke 2011–2016, BD part 1027150.
An exhaust brake closes a valve in the exhaust and makes the engine work against its own back pressure. On a heavy truck coming down a grade with a trailer, that is the difference between arriving at the bottom with service brakes you can still use and arriving with a smell and a soft pedal.
BD have built exhaust brakes longer than most, and the range covers both the older vacuum and air-operated designs and the current electronic inline units, which need no air compressor or air lines and ask less maintenance in return.
BD's Variable Orifice Technology regulates back pressure evenly across the rev range rather than only at one point, which is what makes the braking consistent instead of arriving all at once.
