Remanufactured ZF S5-47 five-speed manual transmission for the OBS 7.3L Power Stroke, 4x4 without PTO.
The S5-47 is the gearbox Ford put behind the 7.3L Power Stroke, rated to 470 lb-ft against the earlier S5-42's 420. It is the reason a manual OBS is worth more than an automatic one, and it is what most people mean when they say "ZF5" in a Power Stroke context.
That loose use of "ZF5" is the problem. The S5-42 is a different, lower-rated transmission used in F-Series and Broncos from 1988 to 1995, and the later S5-47M is different again. None of the three interchange. If you are shopping by the name "ZF5" alone, confirm which unit your truck actually has before ordering.
Diesel S5-47s use the 5.08:1 medium first-gear ratio; the 5.72:1 wide ratio is the petrol version.
Clutch, hydraulics and bellhousing are not included. Freight requires a dock or forklift.
