PPE spin-on replacement transmission filter for the 68RFE, for use with a PPE transmission pan.
A transmission filter is a cheap part protecting an expensive one. A restricted filter starves the pump, and low line pressure is what burns clutches.
PPE's spin-on filter uses an extended cup housing 57% more 10-micron media than the standard filter, with 81% larger passages for higher flow. A steel adapter, a spring-loaded anti-drain-back valve with a silicone O-ring, a coil spring against blow-by and a perforated metal centre tube holding the media make up the rest of it.
This filter is part of PPE's spin-on system: it requires a PPE transmission pan and will not mount to the factory pan.
