KC Turbos Whistler Stage 1 63 mm drop-in turbocharger for the 2011–2019 Ford 6.7L Power Stroke.
The factory VGT is the 6.7L Power Stroke's weak point. The 2011–2014 trucks were the worst of it, with failures common once boost went above standard; Garrett improved the design for 2015 and again for 2017. Either way, the stock turbo runs out of airflow well before these engines run out of appetite for fuel.
The Whistler runs a 6.0L Power Stroke-style billet 63 mm ten-blade compressor wheel that vastly outflows the factory unit — and, as the name suggests, brings back the 2003 turbo whistle with it. On the exhaust side there is an upgraded ten-blade high-flow turbine wheel.
Larger wheels in upgraded housings give better boost control, cooler exhaust gas temperatures and faster spool. KC pitch it at the daily driver and the towing rig rather than at a race truck.
Fitment is worth reading twice: it is built on the 2017–2019 framework, so those trucks bolt it straight on. 2015–2016 needs a pedestal conversion kit, and 2011–2014 needs an installation kit to convert the surrounding components.
