KC Turbos Stage 2 Budget drop-in turbocharger with a 64 mm compressor wheel for the 2003–2007 Ford 6.0L Power Stroke.
Not every turbo upgrade needs to start with a new casting. KC's budget approach is to machine out the stock Garrett compressor cover to take a larger 64 mm compressor wheel, which gets most of the airflow for a good deal less money.
The centre section is not left alone either: the bearings are upgraded to a 360-degree thrust washer, which is the part that decides whether a turbo pushed harder than standard lasts.
KC rate the result at 500 to 575 horsepower, and it is still a drop-in — it goes where the factory turbo came out.
