S&S Diesel Motorsport 50-state legal CP3 conversion replacing the CP4.2 on the 2011–2016 6.6L Duramax LML.
The CP4.2 is the LML Duramax's Achilles heel. Its failure rate is high, and when it goes it usually takes the entire high-pressure system with it — injectors, rails and lines — which is a very expensive way to find out.
S&S Diesel Motorsport's answer is preventative: replace the CP4.2 with the CP3, a pump with a long and well-understood service record on these engines.
This is their 50-state version, carrying a CARB designation, so it is a conversion that keeps the truck street legal everywhere.
