Apex Chassis heavy-duty upper ball joint for the 2000–2002 Dodge Ram 2500 / 3500.
The front suspension on a work truck takes a beating, and it takes more of one with big tyres, a plough on the front or a trailer behind. The factory ball joints are not built for that duty cycle.
A worn joint shows up as front-end slop: uneven tyre wear, steering that wanders, and eventually the shake nobody wants to feel twice.
Apex build these on an SAE 1045 solid forged steel housing, CNC machined so the bearing bores are dimensionally correct rather than subject to die wear. The ball studs are SAE 4140 hot-forged chromoly, induction heat treated to a controlled depth, polished to anti-friction bearing tolerances, and the threads are rolled rather than cut.
