PPE all-aluminium air-to-water intercooler kit for the 2011–2025 Ford 6.7L Power Stroke.

A turbodiesel makes charge air hot before it makes power. The intercooler is what takes that heat back out, and what it gives back is denser air into the cylinder, lower exhaust gas temperature and a truck that does not lose its composure halfway up a grade with a trailer behind it.

PPE's unit is all-aluminium bar-and-plate with flow-optimised cast aluminium end tanks, and the core is 50% larger than the one it replaces.

PPE puts the pressure drop across it at up to 63% lower than the factory cooler. Pressure drop matters as much as temperature does — air the turbo has already compressed and then lost to restriction is work the engine paid for and did not get back.
