Garrett calls this design SST — Single Sequential Turbo. Two compressor wheels sit on one shaft, so a single turbocharger behaves much like a pair: response low down, and a mid-range and top end that do not run out. Ford fits it to the 6.7L Power Stroke, and Garrett is the manufacturer behind the factory unit as well as this one.

Where the F-250 and F-350 pickups changed turbocharger partway through the 6.7L's first generation, Garrett kept the same unit across the whole 2011–2016 run for F-450 pickups and every cab and chassis truck. That is this part.

Getting this one right matters: the pickup and cab-and-chassis turbos are not interchangeable, and the model year alone does not tell you which you need.

This is a genuine Garrett unit, not a copy or a rebuild of unknown history, and it carries Garrett's current revisions rather than the specification the truck left the factory with.
